A local woman reported to the police recently that a man, who later told police that he’s a baker, touched her thigh in front of a building near Rotunda de S. João Bosco (鮑思高圓形地), Public Security Police (PSP) spokeswoman Lai In Hong said during a regular press conference yesterday.
According to Lai, the incident took place on Monday at 7 a.m. The victim said that she was waiting for someone outside the building when the suspect, surnamed Chen, used his right hand to “quickly graze” her thigh. Lai pointed out that the woman felt like she had been sexually harassed so she went to the police in the evening.
Lai said the police quickly identified the suspect and arrested him at his flat in the northern district at 8 p.m. on the same day. Lai said that the baker denied the accusation and claimed that he “accidentally” touched the woman’s thigh. Lai pointed out that the case was still under investigation at the time of the press conference.
