Over 100 artworks are being displayed in an exhibition titled “The Glow of Hou Kong Middle School Exudes Artistic Colours (濠光溢彩)”, which runs until May 28 at the Centre of Educational Resources’ Zizhan Gallery
According to a recent statement provided by the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ), the exhibition is curated by Hou Kong Middle School (濠光中學). The works of the school’s teachers and students, including paintings, sculptures, Chinese calligraphy, technological innovation arts and photography are being showcased to celebrate the school’s 90th anniversary.
The statement points out that Hou Kong Middle School emphasises the training of students’ development of thought, diversity and innovation ability, as well as their approach towards art education, by encouraging students to join different kinds of competitions, exhibitions and other activities, while regarding education about technological innovation, the school has been encouraging students to join different contests, such as the national Science and Technology Innovation Contest, in which the school’s students got a satisfying result.
The statement underlined that the school hopes to share the results and works of its teachers and pupils in art and technological innovation aspects with the public through the exhibition.
The centre opens from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, and from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., and from 2 p.m. to 5:40 p.m. on Saturdays with free admission. It is located at 926 Avenida da Praia Grande.
In line with the Health Bureau’s (SSM) pandemic prevention measures, visitors must wear a facemask, undergo a temperature check and present a valid green Macau Health Code.
