New Macau Association (NMA) President Scott Chiang Meng Hin said yesterday he was “very satisfied” with the impact of a banner accusing Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Alexis Tam Chon Weng of being “cultural heritage killer” that had been displayed for about 10 minutes over the iconic mosaic mural of the former Hotel Estoril on Thursday.

Talking to The Macau Post Daily on the phone last night, Chiang said that he and fellow NMA board member Alan Lam Na Lon, also known as Lam Leng, had been questioned for several hours by the Public Prosecution Office (MP) on Friday for their suspected involvement in the case.

Chiang and Lam have been accused by the police of trespassing and damaging public property.
