The University of Macau (UM) said in a statement yesterday that it will be holding a ceremony on May 28, where graduation certificates will be presented to this year’s graduates of bachelor’s degree programmes.
The ceremony will be held online and offline at 4 p.m. in the Sports Complex (N8) on the UM campus in Hengqin, the statement noted.
The statement pointed out that over 1,800 students from bachelor’s degree programmes such as the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH), Faculty of Law (FLL) and Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) will receive their graduation certificates. Moreover, out of these students, the statement added that 125 have completed programmes offered by the Honours College.
In line with pandemic prevention measures, the statement emphasised that only those graduating will be admitted to the main stadium for the ceremony. Students’ friends and relatives with admission tickets, meanwhile, will watch the ceremony’s live broadcast from the UM Sports Complex Training Hall (N8), University Hall (N2); the Multi-function Hall in the UM Guest House (N1); and the Multi-function Room on the first floor of the UM Guest House (N1).
A livestream of the ceremony can be viewed at www.um.edu.mo, https://weibo.com/universityofmacau, or http://youtube.com/universityofmacau, as well as澳門大學on WeChat, according to the statement.
To get to the campus, one can take a taxi, bus No.s 71 or 73 from Macau, bus No. 72 from Taipa, or by driving, with an outdoor parking area available at UM Stadium (N9), and Car Parks P3, P5, and P6, the statement said.
