More public service arrangements were announced in separate statements on Tuesday owing to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation through Friday.
MGTO announces service arrangements
MGTO said that its reception counter service on Hotline Building’s 12th floor in Alameda Dr Carlos d’Assumpção has been suspended, and that documents can be submitted via the document collection box.
Meanwhile, MGTO’s online service platforms will operate as usual to provide travel agency licence renewals, tour guide card applications, quarterly reports’ online submissions, price lists and room rate declaration, the statement noted.
All reports of the specialised subsidy programmes, the statement said, can be submitted through MGTO’s online platform when due, adding that the reports’ online submission date will be regarded as the report filing date. The statement added that MGTO will notify the entities to submit the original document copies.
Moreover, any subsidised entities failing to submit the report within 30 days after the activity’s completion must fill in the “Request form for postponement of activity report submission” and send it to mgto@macaotourism.gov.mo. Furthermore, all subsidised entities are urged to suspend or postpone all MGTO-funded activities, the statement underlined.
Tourist information counters will operate as usual, the statement said, at the Barrier Gate, the Macau International Airport, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge border checkpoint. Moreover, the Macau Grand Prix Museum and Ritz Building are still closed.
The MGTO’s Tourism Hotline 2833 3000 maintains its 24-hour operator service for tourism-related enquiries.
Health Bureau’s arrangements
Meanwhile, a Health Bureau (SSM) statement said that the following facilities will function as normal: the Accident & Emergency Department (including the Island Emergency Station), Inpatient Service, the Day Hospital of the Haemato-Oncology Service, Tuberculosis Prevention and Treatment Centre, Haemodialysis Unit, and the CHCSJ Pharmacy at the public Conde de São Januário Hospital Centre.
However, the bureau noted that the specialist outpatient services such as “outpatient clinics, radiology, blood sampling and analysis of clinical pathology, endoscopy service of internal medicine, day diagnosis and treatment service of urology, and outpatient rehabilitation services” have been suspended.
CHCSJ visiting hours have been suspended until further notice, while “tele-visits” can be arranged if necessary. The statement underlined that “special situations” will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Enquiries can be made on 8390 6000 or 8390 3600.
Those who cannot get medical consultation, treatment or examination service at the CHCSJ due to the arrangements will be contacted by the units/departments within seven working days for new appointment dates, the statement pointed out. Moreover, affected blood sampling and analysis of clinical pathology service users will be contacted via SMS
The statement added that those needing early analysis owing to illnesses may visit the CHCSJ’s Blood Specimen Collection Room as scheduled. Enquiries can be made on 8390 6000.
Moreover, the Public Health Laboratory, various Health Centres and Health Stations, as well as the Physical Examination Centre for Civil Servants will be suspended, with only the daily nursing service from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. maintained.
The statement underlined that the Health Centre, Health Station and the Physical Examination Centre for Civil Servants users who have had their appointment cancelled will be notified of the new appointments in due course. The Blood Transfusion Centre, the bureau added, will offer services as usual.
For vaccination services, the statement said that Macau Forum’s large-sized community vaccination station will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., while the Nossa Senhora do Carmo-Lago Health Centre will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
