The Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) and the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) announced in separate statements that limited services will be maintained through Friday.
MGTO maintains limited services
The statement noted that during office hours, members of the public must book an appointment in advance at https://eservice.macaotourism.gov.mo/booking/index.php?lang=1 prior to visiting MGTO on the 18th floor of the Hotline Building for licence formalities and supervision-related matters, and arrive as scheduled.
The statement added that the reception counter on the 12th floor of the building will also offer limited services, while a document collection box is also placed for submissions. Those entering the areas must wear a facemask, undergo temperature checks, scan the Venue QR code and present a valid green “Macau Health Code”.
Meanwhile, online service platforms are operating as normal, with MGTO urging the public to use it for services such as for the submission of travel agencies’ quarterly reports and licence renewals for travel agencies, according to the statement.
MGTO’s Tourist Information counters and the “Stay Dine and See Macao” local tours remain suspended, while the Macau Grand Prix Museum and the Ritz Building in Largo do Senado remain closed. The Tourism Hotline, which can be called at 2833 3000, maintains its 24-hour operator service for tourism-related enquiries, the statement said.
Arrangements for IC’s services
Meanwhile, the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said it will offer limited services and phone enquiry services through Friday.
The statement noted that the deadline is extended for the bureau’s various ongoing procurement and bidding procedures. Meanwhile, the Cultural Affairs Bureau building in Praça do Tap Seac remains closed and enquiries can be made by calling the dedicated hotline at 8399 6699, where appointments can also be made in advance for urgent matters. The public are urged in the statement to postpone taking care of affairs concerning the bureau as much as possible, while also avoiding in-person formalities.
The hotline is available from Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., as well as on Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Meanwhile, to reduce any impact on the bidding period, the statement pointed out that the bidding deadline for various purchases and tenders currently conducted by the bureau will be extended, with the bidding deadline for the adjustments to be announced separately.
Other IC services remain suspended while all of its venues are closed, while artistic and cultural activities are also suspended. Further information can be found at www.icm.gov.mo, the “IC Art” Facebook page and on WeChat at “IC_Art_Macao”.
