A total of four groups, headed by lawmakers Wong Kit Cheng and Mak Soi Kun, former Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ) inspector Nelson Kot Man Kam and Pearl Horizon Condominium Owners United Association President Kou Meng Pok submitted their respective groups’ final lists of candidates and political platforms to the Legislative Assembly Electoral Affairs Committee (CAEAL) on Friday for the upcoming direct legislative election by popular vote.
The direct and indirect legislative elections will take place on September 17. A record 25 groups are running in the direct election.
Wong’s group is called Alliance for a Happy Home while Mak’s called the Macau-Guangdong Union. Kot and Kou’s lists are called Power of Political Thought and Pearl Horizon Buyers Rights Defence Union respectively.
