Utilities & CTM announce service resumption

Utilities CEM and Macao Water, as well as local telecom operator CTM announced in separate statements yesterday the resumption of services as Macau enters its stabilisation period today.


CEM’s Macau Customer Service Centre resumes operation

CEM said that its customer service centre in Macau will resume normal operations, but the Taipa Customer Service Centre remains closed for the time being.

CEM said that no appointment is required for customers entering the centre from today. Meter reading, meter installation and customer installation acceptance services will return to normal, CEM said, while bills issued from July 29 will be delivered. Payment for May, June and July bills for Group A customers can be postponed and paid with the bill for August.

Power supply suspension and late charge will not be levied if bills are overdue.

Macao Water customer service centre back to full operation

The Macao Water Customer Service Centre in Ilha Verde resumes full operation with crowd management measures, while customers are urged to apply for services in an orderly manner and follow the on-site staff’s instructions.

Macao Water said that meter readings are also resumed and also urged customers to apply for water supply-related services and pay water bills online through the company’s official WeChat account or website.

No late charge or water supply disconnection are applied for those unable to make payments during the COVID-19 pandemic prevention period, with the outstanding amount carried forward to the next bill, the company pointed out.

CTM resumes shop services

CTM resumes shop services, on-site installation and maintenance service, with its shops’ operating hours being from 10:30 am to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

CTM noted that a “staggered payment arrangement” will be implemented to reduce crowding. Counter payment services will be provided at CTM Original Store, Praia Flagship CTM, Iao Hon shop, Nam Van shop and Taipa shop from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Meanwhile, on-site installation and maintenance service applications accumulated during the COVID-19 pandemic have been processed during the consolidation period. “The newly applied on-site installation and maintenance services will be fully resumed during the stabilisation period”, CTM said.
