Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau says in a recent statement that it welcomes the Mid-Autumn Festival with the launch of a series of “elegant” mooncakes in beautifully designed giftboxes.
According to the statement, the gift boxes include the Grand Lisboa Palace “Secret Garden Under the Moon Mid-Autumn Gift Box”, “Secret Garden Under the Moon Assorted Mini Mooncakes Gift Box” and the Palace Garden “Handcrafted Royal Mid-Autumn Gift Box”.
The “Secret Garden Under the Moon” gift boxes, the statement underlines, were designed by Macau Design Awards 2021 “SJM New Talent Award” winner Au Chon Hin, and his team at Untitled Macao. The boxes are inspired by Grand Lisboa Palace’s European-styled Jardim Secreto (“Secret Garden”).
Actively supporting sustainable development, the statement underlines that GLP has cooperated with local sustainable engineering team Chazence in designing the cutlery made from tea-fibre-based material using recycled tea leaves, with the material being fully biodegradable and environmentally friendly.
The “Secret Garden Under the Moon Mid-Autumn Gift Box” is priced at 398 patacas, and contains Traditional Double Egg Yolk and White Lotus Seed Paste Mooncakes (pack of two) and Chalou’s Premium Lychee Black Tea.
The “Secret Garden Under the Moon Assorted Mini Mooncakes Gift Box” is priced at 438 patacas and contains Egg Custard Mooncakes (two), Egg Yolk and Osmanthus Lotus Seed Paste Mooncakes (two) and 15 Years Tangerine Peel and Red Bean Paste Mooncakes (two)
One can get a 25 percent early bird discount, the statement points out, by placing an order before August 17. Gift boxes can also be picked up from August 17.
Meanwhile, the Palace Garden “Handcrafted Royal Mid-Autumn Gift Box” contains six Bird’s Nest and Almond Custard Mooncakes specially crafted by Palace Garden’s Head Chef Ken Chong, as well as a special in-house Mid-Autumn Festival Blended Tea.
The statement stressed that there are only 888 gift boxes available for purchase at 688 patacas per set, which can be picked up from August 26.
