The Judiciary Police (PJ) announced yesterday the arrest of a South Korean man on Sunday on suspicion of raping a compatriot who had borrowed gaming chips from him. The suspect is an overstayer.
A spokesperson released details of the case during a special press conference at the PJ headquarters in Zape. The 37-year-old suspect, surnamed Ko, worked in the junket business, the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson said that the victim, who is in her thirties, told the Judiciary Police on Sunday morning that she had been raped by Ko in his flat on Saturday. PJ officers went to the flat to question Ko.
