The Pharmaceutical Administration Bureau (ISAF) said in a statement yesterday that it was notified by Hong Kong’s Department of Health that the “HE ABSOLUTE KING” aphrodisiac contains Tadalafil (aka Cialis), so the department urged the public not to buy and take it.
The bureau underlined that it has not approved the import of the product into the local market.
The statement noted that Tadalafil is used to treat erectile dysfunction in men, and should only be used as prescribed.
The side effects of Tadalafil include hypotension, headache, vomiting, dizziness and temporary blurred vision, the statement said, adding that those taking Tadalafil and Nitroglycerin at the same time could lower their blood pressure to dangerous levels.
The statement underlined that improper use of Tadalafil could pose serious health risks, especially for patients with cardiac diseases.
In order to protect public health, the bureau will closely monitor the circulation of the product in Macau, according to the statement.
The statement stressed that those who have bought the product should immediately stop taking it and send it to the bureau in China Plaza on Avenida de Sidónio Pais.
Enquiries can be made by calling 8598 3533 during office hours.
