The Judiciary Police (PJ) arrested a man from the mainland on Saturday for dropping a lit cigarette end on the ground floor of the long-abandoned Catholic Centre building in the city centre earlier this month, which resulted in a fire there, PJ spokesman Leng Kam Lon said during a regular press conference yesterday.
The Catholic Centre, located at the junction of Rua do Campo, Rua Formosa and Avenida da Praia Grande, has been vacant for over two decades.
Leng identified the suspect as a 50-year-old surnamed Zou.
