A mainland man has been detained for breaking into two flats where the residential buildings’ main doors were open, the Judiciary Police (PJ) said in a press briefing yesterday.

A PJ spokesperson said the suspect and an accomplice broke into the two flats last month near Luis de Camoes Garden and stole items worth 6,500 patacas.

The spokesperson said the suspect and his accomplice targeted flats in low-rises where the main doors had broken locks so that anyone could get in easily.
