The Sports Bureau (ID) said in a statement on Saturday that online registration for the 69th Macau Grand Prix – Family Carnival, which will take place in Praça do Tap Seac from November 5-6, opens today.
Registration can be done from 10 a.m. today until 6 p.m. on October 29. Those successful will receive an SMS message from November 1-2.
The carnival is among the events arranged surrounding the upcoming Grand Prix. Other events, the statement noted, include the Grand Prix-themed creative art activity exhibition at the IAM Gallery until November 20 and the 69th Macau Grand Prix Car and Motorcycle Show and opening ceremony from November 12 to 13.
The carnival will feature a simulation of the Guia Circuit and a mini race track, interactive games, among others, according to the statement. Online registration for the event is adopted to facilitate visitor flow, with the statement adding that each day will be divided into different time slots.
On November 5, the three time slots are from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. November 6, meanwhile, has five time slots, which are from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The statement said that members of the public can register at https://www.macau-minigp.com, with the maximum number of participants per time slot set at 400 people. A draw will be held if registrations exceed the available slots and winners will be notified via SMS from November 1 to 2. The results can be found on the registration system, while a small number of slots will be available onsite.
The statement pointed out that registrants can only sign up for one session per day with each mobile number, with up to four people able to register at a time, and they must enter the venue together. Children aged under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
The statement said that the activities will be held in line with the COVID-19 pandemic prevention measures such as requiring visitors to wear a facemask and scan the venue QR code and present a valid green Macau Health Code.
