The Social Affairs Bureau (IAS) announced in a statement that in response to the COVID-19 case detected in Fai Chi Kei district yesterday, visits to Caritas Macau’s Asilo de Betânia care home for senior citizens on Avenida do Conselheiro Borja and Fuhong Society of Macau’s Long Cheng Centre rehabilitation home on Rua do Comandante João Belo have been suspended through tomorrow.
During the suspension of visits, the residents will not be allowed to leave the facilities for the three-day period, according to the statement.
The statement noted that both the care home and rehabilitation home have arranged for their staff members and residents to undergo nucleic acid tests (NATs) while strengthening the implementation of the government’s COVID-19 prevention measures.
Follow-up arrangements will be announced in due course depending on the actual situation of the pandemic, the statement pointed out.
