Gaming resort operator MGM will title-sponsor the “MGM Macau Touring Car Cup” in the upcoming 69th Macau Grand Prix, according to a statement from the Hong Kong-listed US company yesterday.

The races are slated to take place next week (November 17-20). Last year, MGM was the title sponsor of the “MGM Greater Bay Area GT Cup”.

Moreover, the mainland motorsports champion team Phantom Pro Racing, which made its debut at the 67th Macau Grand Prix with MGM’s support, will again be sponsored by the company to compete in the races.

The statement noted that the team was founded in 2018 and has won many accolades in the motorsport’s realm. It is Lamborghini’s official support team and is AMG China’s official partner, with its founder Chris Chia as the official driver of FAW Audi, the statement said. The team will race on the Guia Circuit for the third consecutive year.

According to the statement, the team’s drivers Chris Chia, Ling Kang, Cao Qi, and Li Chao will compete in several races, steering “an upgraded fleet of racing cars” such as the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO, Mercedes AMG GT4 and Audi LMS R8 GT3 EVO II around the Guia Circuit.

Meanwhile, the statement said that from November 18-20, MGM will host a 360-degree live broadcast of the races at the Spectacle in MGM COTAI.
