A Hong Kong diner was arrested for touching a waitress’s left buttock on Sunday, Public Security Police (PSP) Lam Keong said at yesterday’s regular press conference.
Lam said that the suspect surnamed Chen, who is in his fifties, told the police that he’s jobless. The victim works at a hotel restaurant on Avenida da Nave Desportiva in Cotai.
According to Lam, when the victim was leading Chen to his seat on Sunday night, Chen touched her left buttock with the back of his right hand. The victim, alerted by his action, turned and looked at Chen, who then grinned at her. The victim reported the incident to the police soon after. Chen was arrested at the restaurant.
Under questioning, Chen admitted “accidentally” touching the victim. He has been transferred to the Public Prosecutions Office (MP), facing a sexual harassment charge, Lam said.
