The Unitary Police Service (SPU) briefed the media yesterday about the police’s two-month Thunderbolt 16 operation to combat crime, primarily in night entertainment venues, that started in July and finished on Wednesday.

A special press conference was held on the SPU’s premises in Nam Van to announce the results of the anti-crime sweep.

According to Assistant to Commissioner-General of the Unitary Police Service João Augusto da Rosa, the Judiciary Police (PJ) and Public Security Police (PSP) took part in 760 operations between July 22 and Wednesday, pointing out that the raids were led by the Unitary Police Service.
