The Transport Bureau (DSAT) said in a statement yesterday that vehicle owners should pay their 2023 annual vehicle licence taxes between Sunday and March 31.

In order to further promote e-government and better use of public money, according to the statement, with effect from Sunday, local banks and the Macau Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) will no longer collect vehicle licence taxes on behalf of the Transport Bureau, adding that residents can pay their vehicle’s licence taxes for up to 10 vehicles at a time online, through the government’s self-service kiosks or in person at designated places under the Transport Bureau, Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) or Financial Services Bureau (DSF).

The statement underlined that the number of tax-chargeable self-service kiosks has been increased from 21 to 48.

Meanwhile, the Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau (SAFP) said in a statement yesterday that starting from Sunday, members of the public can pay their vehicle’s licence taxes via the “My Vehicle” function on the “Macao One Account”.

The statement noted that so far, more than 430,000 residents have opened accounts under the “Macao One Account”, of which about 99,000 users have attached more than 139,000 vehicles, accounting for about 56 percent of the total number of registered vehicles, with over 78,000 driving licences added to the “Macao One Account”.
