The Municipal Affairs Bureau (IAM) said in a statement on Thursday that dog owners can now apply for dog licences online through their “Macao One Account”.

According to the statement, licence holders can log into their “Macao One Account” and access the “Dog Licence” service page, where they can enquire about the licence particulars of their dogs, the procedures to renew or change the licence, and make an appointment for rabies jabs.

Anyone who owns a dog that is not a racing animal and has reached the age of three months must obtain a three-year-validity licence issued by the bureau, the statement underlined, which added that all dog owners should apply for renewal within 60 days before the licence expires, otherwise the licence will become invalid upon expiration.

In addition, the statement said, in order to facilitate the application process for the service, the bureau will also set up “Mobile Service Stations for Dog Licence Application and Renewal” from this coming Saturday through February 25 in various areas, such as at the Macau Municipal Kennel on Avenida do Almirante Lacerda, Ip Heng Building in Seac Pai Van in Coloane, and Macau Stadium on Rotunda do Estádio in Taipa.

Details about specific locations and schedules for the IAM mobile service stations can be found on the bureau’s website.
