Galaxy Macau’s Ritz-Carlton, Macau is offering a range of menus and experiences for the Chinese New Year (CNY), the five-star hotel said in a statement on Wednesday.
In the hotel’s Michelin Star Cantonese restaurant Lai Heen, the statement noted, the Chinese New Year Lunch, priced at 688 per person, features “some of the greatest hits in Chinese cuisine” such as Double-boiled Free-range Chicken Soup with Bamboo Pith and Yellow Fungus, Fried Glutinous Rice with Air-dried Sausage, Conpoy and Taro, and Sweetened Red Bean Cream with 10-year-aged Tangerine Peel and Glutinous Rice Dumpling.
The Chinese New Year Dinner, meanwhile, features a line-up of Chinese New Year staples enhanced by a range of ingredients sourced globally, according to the statement. Priced at 2,388 patacas per person, the menu includes Roasted Suckling Pig with Caviar and highlights such as the Braised Japanese Sun-dried Oyster Accompanied with Vegetable Roll, Wrapped in Shrimp, Iberico Pork and Sea Moss and the Deep-fried Codfish Fillet with Salty Egg Yolk.
Both the lunch and dinner menus are available daily from January 21 to February 5.
The statement said that the hotel is also offering a Rice Pudding Treasure Box for 548 patacas each that contains one traditional Glutinous Rice Pudding and one Turnip Cake. Guests can get a special offer of 20-25 percent off for bulk purchases.
Meanwhile, at The Ritz-Carlton Café, the Chinese New Year Prix Fixe has a range of dishes with French influences such as the Double Boiled Chicken Consommé. The statement added that the Lobster Tartare and the New Zealand Ocean Beef Tenderloin are two “standout dishes” created specifically for the menu.
The menu, available until February 5, is priced from 588 to 788 patacas per person and includes one glass of wine chosen by a sommelier, the statement said.
The Ritz-Carlton Bar & Lounge will host the “Cheers to the Year of Rabbit Party” from 9 p.m. till late on January 21 (Lunar New Year’s Eve), the statement underlined. Table packages for two to six guests are priced from 1,388-3,988 patacas, which includes Perrier-Jouët Champagne and Chinese New Year-themed canapés.
The statement added that guests can substitute the champagne with the Grace Vineyard “Tasya’s Reserve” Marselan 2017 for a more authentically Chinese experience.
