The University of Macau’s (UM) Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) has received re-accreditation for a five-year term from the Association of MBAs (AMBA) after a rigorous assessment by its panel members, the public university said in a statement yesterday.
The statement noted that with the re-accreditation, the FBA maintains its “triple crown accreditation” from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), AMBA, and the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).
UM Rector Yonghua Song (aka Song Yonghua) was quoted by the statement as saying: “It’s been a long time working towards accomplishing this, and I’m truly delighted to learn about the successful completion of the AMBA re-accreditation through the collaborative effort of the FBA team.”
Meanwhile, FBA Interim Dean Ge Wei said that the re-accreditation “confirms FBA’s dedication to pursuing continuous improvement in providing excellent business education and nurturing business talent”.
AMBA is among the world’s leading authorities on postgraduate business education and has accredited postgraduate business programmes at over 260 business schools worldwide, according to the statement.
