An exhibition titled “Flu; ID” is being held in the Nostalgic House at the Taipa Houses museum complex in Taipa, showcasing five pieces from award-winning local artist Lo Ho Ieng.

Lo, according to a statement about the exhibition from the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC), was born in Macau in the 1990s. She made her debut in the local art scene by participating in the “Collective Exhibition of Macao Visual Arts” in 2020, where she won the “Grand Prize of Jury Award” and the “Outstanding Artworks Award” out of over 300 pieces (sets) of submitted artworks with her animation work “Animus”.

Lo has also participated in a string of local and international art events such as exhibitions, cultural fairs and film festivals, the statement underlined.

The exhibition, the statement said, features Lo’s award-winning creations and four of her works from 2018 to present. It comprises “Animus”, “Blank Emotions”, “Boundary View”, “Pixel City” and “Flow”. The pieces include animation, graphic works and an “immersive experience room” that Lo designed for the exhibition.

The statement added that Lo made the effort to highlight “numerous dichotomous links between imagination and reality, matter and awareness, silence and flow”, among others, using “rich visual symbols.

The exhibition runs until March 5 and is open daily, except Mondays, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, visit www.icm.gov.mo or call 8988 4000.
