The Transport Bureau (DSAT) said in a statement yesterday that as of 9 a.m. on Tuesday over 110,000 vehicle owners had not yet paid their annual road tax, with more than 80 percent of 126,000 vehicle owners having paid the tax online, urging drivers and riders to pay the tax for their respective vehicles by March 31.
The statement pointed out that considering that all the city’s banks and Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) have stopped collecting road tax on behalf of the Transport Bureau from this year, it urged vehicle owners to pay the tax via the bureau’s app or website: https://epay.dsat.gov.mo, or through their Macao One Account in advance, or by using the bureau’s 47 self-service kiosks.
The bureau urged vehicle owners to pay the fines for their traffic offences before paying the tax to avoid additional fines and fees arising from overdue payments.
Vehicle owners who plan to cancel the registration of their vehicles during the road tax collection period and wish to have their vehicles removed on or before March 31 should apply at the bureau no later than March 17 and park their vehicles at the appointed location on time.
