BLACKPINK to perform at Galaxy Arena

Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) said in a statement yesterday that the South Korean girl group BLACKPINK will be performing at Galaxy Macau’s 16,000 seat Galaxy Arena from May 20-21.

The statement said that the group, which is among the most popular K-pop female groups, will be performing the concert as  part of the “BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR [BORN PINK]”, which is their largest tour with a total of 56 concerts across Asia, North America, Europe and Oceania.

The group debuted in 2016 and blends K-pop with different styles. The statement added that they are the only South Korean female group have had nine songs on the Billboard Hot 100 and are the first K-pop female group to hold a world tour with a live band.

Moreover, they are the first K-pop group to record two billion views with their music video “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” and hold the record of being the artists with the most YouTube subscribers, according to the statement.

The Galaxy Arena features centre-stage, end-stage or boxing ring set-ups, which are customisable for events. It features 360-degree views and high-quality surround sound, as well as eight Hospitality Suites for guests.
