The gaming sector’s average earnings (excluding bonuses) of its full-time employees dipped a mere 0.1 percent year on year to 23,680 patacas last December, the Statistics and Census Bureau (DSEC) announced yesterday.
Dealers’ average earnings dropped 1.1 percent to 19,800 patacas.
Compared to June 2022, last December’s average earnings were up by 1.8 percent.
At the end of last year’s fourth quarter, there were 52,174 full-time staff employed by the sector, a year-on-year decline of 2,665. The number of dealers (croupiers) decreased by 685 to 23,721.
At the end of last year, there were only 13 vacancies in the sector, down by 45 year on year, the bureau said.
