The second Highly Collectable Art Fair is being held at Casa Garden on Praça Luis de Camões until Sunday, presenting over 60-odd exhibits.

The fair’s founder and exhibition curator James Wong Cheng Pou told The Macau Post Daily yesterday that the exhibition features interesting pieces that could even be displayed in museums.

According to a recent statement from the organisers, this year’s art fair features several wood carvings showing “Sino-Portuguese culture” were provided by collectors from Macau and overseas. It also features export porcelain and China Trade paintings.

Moreover, there is also a miniature four-panel landscape by Sun Yunsheng, a disciple of Zhang Daqian, who Wikipedia notes is among the best-known and most prodigious mainland artists of the 20th century, ink paintings by Feng Zikai, who is famous for his caricatures, among others.

The exhibition also features lithographs by the late Russian-French artist Marc Chagall (1887-1985).

Wong noted that a third edition of the fair is slated for September, adding he hoped that art could be shared with more people.

Casa Garden is open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. except Mondays. Admission is free.
