The Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) announced in a statement yesterday that it has collaborated with Alibaba Group again this year to launch the second phase of the “Macau Youth Training and Internship Programme at Alibaba Hangzhou”, offering a total of 40 internship positions in various areas such as merchant development, marketing, business development, cross-border business cooperation and operation, user research, customer support and charity projects. The programme is open for applications until tomorrow.
According to the statement, the programme consists of two parts: training and internship, including three weeks of business training covering areas of the nation’s digital economy development, Alibaba’s corporate culture and business practices, and five weeks of on-the-job training arranged by Alibaba at its business units.
Macau residents who completed a degree in tertiary education after September 2019 and have certain working experience and skills required for the internship are eligible to apply. Those interested can apply online at the Labour Affairs Bureau website at https://www.dsal.gov.mo/zh_tw/standard/employment_recruitment_intern_alibaba.html or call 8399 9194 for enquiries.
In addition, the bureau and the Macau Federation of Trade Unions (commonly known as Gung Luen) will co-organise a job fair from May 5 to 6 at the Macau Tower Convention and Exhibition Centre, offering more than 1,000 jobs in the tourism, hotel, transport, retail, banking and public utilities sectors.
The bureau is also organising six career talks from next Wednesday to May 6. Representatives from various companies will be invited to give talks on CV writing, interviewing skills and industry development prospects, so that job seekers can learn and master interviewing skills and increase their chances of getting a job.
Registration is now available online at https://www.dsal.gov.mo/zh_tw/standard/spring_jobfair_workshop.html.
