The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said in a statement yesterday that its Tap Siac Craft Market in Spring will be inaugurated on Thursday and go on until April 23, as well as from April 27-30, in Praça do Tap Seac.

“Tap Siac” is the bureau’s alternate spelling for “Tap Seac”.

The statement noted that the number of stalls has “significantly increased” in the craft market, while creative stalls from Hong Kong have also been added. Over 220 handicraft and creative gastronomy stalls from cultural and creative entities from Macau, Hong Kong and the mainland are also featured, each showcasing and selling a raft of products.

The statement said that these range from daily necessities to natural and handmade products. Moreover, there will be 47 music performances from Macau and mainland singers.

Meanwhile, 52 creative handicraft workshops will be held during the event, with the bureau urging successful applicants to arrive on time. The statement added that those coming 10 minutes after the workshop commences will be replaced by on-site applicants on the waiting list, who will then need to register and pay 50 patacas on-site per workshop. No refunds will be provided to latecomers.

The craft market will be open from 5 p.m.-10 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. at weekends.
