Caritas Macau Secretary General Paul Pun Chi Meng said yesterday he expected casino operators’ donations during this year’s bazaar to be 100,000 patacas less than those of last year because of Macau’s economic downturn.
Pun made the remarks during a press conference at Sao Joao de Brito School about the 47th Caritas Macau Charity Bazaar on Saturday and Sunday.
Addressing the press conference, Pun said: “As Macau is going through a stage of economic adjustment, I think the money donated by casino operators will be 100,000 patacas less than that of last year.”
