A film festival entitled “‘On The Road’ Macao Youth Film Festival” screened local films produced by locals at Cinematheque•Passion from June 29 until yesterday, according to a statement handed out during the closing ceremony on Friday.
The event was hosted by Cinematheque•Passion and supported by the Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC).
The statement said that the festival also had a film screening section that featured five films made by local directors, as well as a micro-film screening section that featured seven micro-films also produced by local directors.
The closing ceremony also included a prize giving ceremony, where six shortlisted short films were awarded, comprising “Back To The End” by Ji Zijian and “The Pink Boxing Gloves” by Itemko, “409.9 MHz” by Liang Kaiqi, “Light On, Light Off” by Lei Weng Ian, as well as “The Great Visiting” by Zhao Tianqi and “N°001605” by Lo Nga Ieng, the statement said, adding that “Back To The End” won the prize for “Best Short”, with the jury board commenting that its cinematographic production technique was “mature” and the direction style was distinct.
