The Macau City Visual Arts Society announced in a statement that its “Curiouser & Curiouser” exhibition opened on Saturday at the LG Atrium of the Macau Tower Convention & Entertainment Centre. The exhibition showcases an installation art piece titled “The Ladder to Find Alice,” which is inspired by Chapter 4 of “Alice in Wonderland”.

In an exclusive interview with The Macau Post Daily last week, the local curator of the exhibition and installation artist, Mel Cheong Hoi I, said that the purpose of the project is to inspire children with local artists’ creativity.

According to the statement, Cheong designed the installation as a large house with structures of varying heights, reminiscent of a hierarchy, for the audience to explore and appreciate step by step.

The statement also mentioned that local drama organisation Big Mouse Kids Drama Group will be performing at the exhibition at 3:00 p.m. every Sunday until August 20. During the exhibition period, visitors can enjoy the limited-edition beverage called Dreamy Dawn Sky and ice-cream called Starry Dawn Sky, both designed by Cheong, at the café next to the exhibition.

The “Curiouser and Curiouser” exhibition will be open to the public for free daily from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. until September 25, the statement said.
