The 13th Oktoberfest Macau at MGM is slated to take place from October 12-23 at MGM COTAI, with admission tickets and table reservations available from Monday, the integrated resort (IR) operator has announced in a statement.
The statement noted that Oktoberfest Macau at MGM was first introduced in 2009. This year’s 12-day event, which will be held as an outdoor party on MGM COTAI’s Roof Terrace, again has the Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO), the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hong Kong and the German Macau Business Association (GMBA) as supporting units, according to the statement.
The statement said that the event “celebrates the essence of the quintessential Oktoberfest through the traditional German gourmet, entertainment and decorations, bringing the most authentic Bavarian party atmosphere to Macau”.
Staying in the blue-and-white Bavarian patterned beer tent and sitting at traditional long wooden tables, the statement pointed out that guests can enjoy the genuine Bavarian Oktoberfest brew Löwenbräu (“Lion Brew”), traditional German food and beverages, carnival booth games, as well as cheer with waitresses in traditional dirndl costumes.
The event will also see live performances by crowd favourite Högl Fun Band, which will again jet in from Munich, and essentially bring back the theme song “Nei Hou, Macau!”.
The statement said that the event will take place from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. daily during the period, while the Family Day session is slated to take place on October 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are priced at 250 patacas per guest, with free admission for children under nine years old.
