A 28-year-old local man was arrested on Sunday for abusing his wife for years, a spokesperson for the Judiciary Police (PJ) said in a special briefing yesterday.
According to the spokesperson, neither the suspect, surnamed Lo, nor his 31-year-old wife have a steady job. They relied on Lo’s pensioner father to give them money.
The spokesperson said the victim met Lo and they started dating in the mainland in 2008. After becoming pregnant, the victim married Lo in 2010. The victim applied for Macau residency in 2014.
