A grand opening of a boutique for Italian jewellery brand Buccellati was held last Friday at MGM MACAU, marking its second in the city after its first at MGM COTAI, the integrated resort operator said earlier this week.
The boutique is located on MGM MACAU’s first floor, adjacent to One Central and the MGM entertainment area. It is divided into multiple spaces, each showcasing “exquisite masterpieces”, the statement noted.
The event also saw the inauguration of the Buccellati exhibition “Timeless Beauty with Century-Old Craftsmanship” at MGM MACAU’s Grande Praça, providing consumers from Macau and the Greater Bay Area (GBA) with a “firsthand experience of Buccellati’s unique Italian style and extraordinary craftsmanship”, according to the statement.
The statement said that it marks the first appearance of the “Capri” collection in Asia, along with classic collections “Macri”, “Opera Tulle”, “Hawaii”, among others. A live demonstration of the Rigato carving technique by Buccellati artisans is also featured.
The exhibition runs through October 8, with reservations available on the official platform.
Buccellati ‘s Honorary Chairman and Creative Director Andrea Buccellati was quoted in the statement as saying: “ By opening the boutique at MGM MACAU and unveiling the Buccellati art appreciation exhibition, we hope to provide Macau and the whole Greater Bay Area consumers with a firsthand experience of Buccellati’s unique Italian style and extraordinary craftsmanship”.
MGM China Holdings Limited Chairperson and Executive Director Pansy Ho Chiu-king was quoted as saying: “Buccellati stands out in its steadfast commitment to preserving the ancient and exceptional craftsmanship of Italy. In today’s world, this commitment is highly treasured, and it aligns perfectly with MGM’s pursuit and promotion of the craftsmanship spirit”.
