Govt won’t amend Land Law without consensus: Chan

Addressing a Q&A session in the legislature’s hemicycle yesterday, Secretary for Administration and Justice Sonia Chan Hoi Fan said the government would not propose any amendments to the Land Law without first reaching a consensus in civil society on the matter. 

Chan made the remarks when answering lawmaker-cum-businessman Zheng Anting’s question, on the last day of a two-day Q&A session about her portfolio’s policy guidelines for next year..

Chan and several other senior officials of her portfolio attended yesterday’s plenum in the Legislative Assembly’s hemicycle.
