The Macau Grand Prix Organising Committee (MGPOC) is holding an auto show in Praça do Tap Seac from today through Sunday that features both the cars and motorcycles that will race on the Guia Circuit in the six-day 70th Macau Grand Prix (MGP), according to a joint statement yesterday from the organising committee and the Sports Bureau (ID).
The racing event will take place tomorrow and on Sunday, and then continue from next Thursday through next Sunday. The detailed race schedule can be found on https://www.macau.grandprix.gov.mo/en/
The statement noted that the three-day show displays vehicles competing in the 55th Motorcycle Grand Prix, race cars from the Macau GT Cup – FIA GT World Cup and one from the Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix – FIA F3 World Cup. An opening ceremony is slated to take place at 1 p.m. today, while many participating racers will be on site to meet fans, the statement said.
Moreover, sales booths selling cultural and creative Grand Prix-themed products will be at the auto show.
Large screens have also been set up to broadcast the race event in different locations such as Largo do Senado and Rotunda de Carlos da Maia (colloquially known as “Three Lamps” roundabout), according to the statement.
For community promotion, the statement added that a MGP photo exhibition is being held at local schools throughout the month, while MGP-related information will be shown to students through display boards. The organising committee also collaborates with the Education and Youth Development Bureau (DSEDJ) to invite students to watch the races, among other activities, according to the statement.
The 70th MGP Photography Contest will also be held, being open for entries from November 20 to December 29, the statement said.
More information can be found on the MGP website, its mobile app, or by following its social media pages.
