Melco Crown Entertainment (MCE) Chairman and CEO Lawrence Ho Yau-lung said yesterday that the fifth hotel tower at City of Dreams has been named “Morpheus”, adding that its construction was planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2018.

Ho made the announcement during a name-unveiling event held at the City of Dreams complex in Cotai.

Billed as the world’s first “free-form exoskeleton high-rise”, Morpheus, named after the god of dreams in Greek mythology, was one of the last projects by Iraqi British architect Dame Zaha Hadid, who passed away in March.
