Around 30 art pieces by local artist and musician Pakeong Fortes Sequeira are on display in an exhibition entitled “Moltirange: Who is Solace?” at the Rui Cunha Foundation gallery until January 6.
Curated by fellow artist Heidi Ng (吳凱婷), the exhibition showcases Fortes Sequeira’s latest works and includes paintings, installations, and digital art, a statement from the gallery noted.
The works “delve into personal growth, transformation, and the exploration of the unknown and uncertainty”, the statement said, adding that the artist uses the fictional character “Solace” as a blueprint to reveal his inner world.
The statement quoted Ng as saying that the artist “utilises storytelling illustrations and heavily integrates mirror elements to present his reflections on personal growth”. She added that the project aims to “inspire all to courageously confront the unfamiliar and discover their inner resilience, whether in the face of adversity or while chasing their aspirations”.
The exhibition, according to the statement, is co-organised by the private foundation and Fortes Solo Workshop Lda, and is supported by Macau Intellectual Property Industry Commercial Association and the Macau International Grand Event Promotion Association.
The gallery is open from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays. Admission is free. More details about the exhibition can be found on https://www.ruicunha.org/frc/
