SJM Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer Angela Leong On Kei said yesterday that the gaming business might be recovering but it’s the integrated resorts in Cotai that are doing better than their counterparts on the peninsula.

Leong made the comment while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the gaming operator’s first SME business matching session held at Grand Lisboa.

According to Leong, the business matching session brought about 200 million patacas worth of procurement opportunities, of which 28 million patacas were reserved for micro enterprises, “Made in Macau” companies and “young entrepreneurs”.

Asked by reporters if the city’s gaming revenue has finally hit the bottom as the figures have risen over the past four consecutive months, Leong said she couldn’t say for sure.
