The Macao Institute for Tourism Studies (IFTM) co-organised a City Salon event with the Swiss Education Group (SEG) last month, the tertiary education institution said in a statement yesterday.
The statement noted that the event enabled IFTM students from the School of Hospitality Management to have discussions with SEG representatives and alumni on topics of interest. It was also attended by four Academic Coordinators of IFTM’s School of Hospitality Management.
The statement added that Hippo Ho (何健輝), director of Institutional Partnership Programmes of the Swiss Education Group China Region, gave an overview of the current state and future prospects of the Swiss hospitality industry, among others.
Ho also gave a briefing on the “3+1 Dual Bachelor’s Degree” Programme and Double-award Programme that the Swiss Hotel Management School (SHMS) and the Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland (CAAS) on which IFTM collaborates. The two institutions’ campus environments, curricula, dormitory conditions, internship and employment support were also presented.
Moreover, SHMS graduates discussed their personal experiences and memorable moments on campus, among others, while the SEG alumni also talked about experiences such as participating in the International Recruitment Forum, the statement said.
