The Labour Affairs Bureau (DSAL) yesterday joined hands with Shenzhen-based Kingdee International Software Group Limited and China Medical System Holdings Limited to co-launch their respective internship programmes, providing local residents with 15 and 20 trainee positions in seven and six fields respectively, according to a joint press conference at the DSAL headquarters in Areia Preta district.
Delivering a speech during the press conference, DSAL Employment Department Chief Lei Lai Keng said that Kingdee International Software Group Limited is one of the world’s leading and China’s No.1 enterprise management cloud SaaS (Software as a Service) company, focusing on EBC (Enterprise Business Capability) enterprise IT management and other industry digital transformation practices, while China Medical System Holdings Limited is an innovative pharmaceutical company involved in skincare, beauty and big health business.
The former will provide candidates with 15 trainee places involving seven areas, comprising software development, implementation consultation, basic operation and maintenance, marketing, operations, and accounting and human resources positions, while the latter will offer 20 trainee positions in six fields, comprising drug registration, clinical trials, marketing and project cooperation, as well as pharmaceutical quality management and supply chains.
The internship programme is open to applications by Macau residents, aged 35 or below, who have completed the relevant tertiary education programmes required for the trainee positions and obtained a bachelor’s degree or above, the press conference noted. Online applications for both companies’ internships are being accepted until March 8.
Both internship programmes will be carried out in Shenzhen and last for eight weeks from April 15 through June 7, according to the press conference, which highlighted that during the internship period, each intern will be granted a living allowance of 5,000 patacas every four weeks and a one-time subsidy of 500 patacas for round-trip transport and travel insurance arranged by the bureau, while they will also be provided with a living allowance by their respective internship companies, i.e., 3,500 patacas every four weeks by Kingdee, and 2,500 yuan (about 2,800 patacas) every four weeks by Kangzhe Pharmaceuticals. Both companies will also provide accommodation for the successful applicants, in addition to a commercial insurance policy.
Seminars will be held by the bureau this Saturday and on March 2 for young people interested in joining the schemes, to learn more about the development prospects of the two enterprises and relevant industries, according to the press conference.
Meanwhile, Lei pointed out that her bureau launched seven internship programmes last year, among which the bureau received over 500 applications from residents, with 163 of them accepted. However, only 136 candidates completed the programme, Lei said.
