The 2024 Macao International Environmental Cooperation Forum & Exhibition (MIECF) is slated to take place at Cotai Expo at The Venetian Macao from March 28 to 30 themed “Reaching the Dual Carbon Goals through Green Transformation”, according to an MIECF statement yesterday.
The statement noted that the upcoming event will keep the sector “abreast of the latest trends and the future landscape while boosting green exchanges and cooperation”.
Its two-day Green Forum is slated to have four thematic sessions highlighting environmental protection topics such as ESG (environmental, social and governance) and green finance, according to the statement. Invited industry experts will share new environmental protection technologies and applications, and discuss green development paths.
The “Green Transformation Service Counter” will also be set up for the first time to help enterprises closely follow future ESG trends, according to the statement, while the event will also showcase environmental protection products and services across multiple sectors.
The three-day event covers 10,000 square metres with five green exhibition areas, which includes the debut of the “Green Smart Industries Exhibition Area” that will showcase renewable energy technologies and smart city solutions, among others, the statement said.
