Former ex-chief prosecutor Ho Chio Meng yesterday continued to deny that he illegally benefitted from the overpriced granting of a string of outsourced services and projects for the Public Prosecution Office (MP) to 10 “shell companies” over the past decade or so.
Ho made the remarks in his defence on the fifth day of his trial by the Court of Final Appeal (TUI) yesterday.
The trial is being conducted by a three-judge panel comprising TUI President Sam Hou Fai, TUI judge Song Man Lei and Lai Kin Hong on secondment from the Court of Second Instance (TSI), which he heads.
