The Health Bureau (SSM) announced in a statement yesterday that its mobile blood donation vehicle’s regular service outside Luso International Bank Building and the Macau Square commercial building on Rua do Dr Pedro José Lobo in Nam Van will not be provided today, because health workers tasked with providing services at the vehicle are scheduled to carry out an ad-hoc blood donation activity organised by the bureau’s Blood Transfusion Centre.
The statement said that blood donors intending to use the vehicle’s services today can instead visit the Blood Transfusion Centre.
According to the website of the bureau’s Blood Transfusion Centre, the vehicle, which provides services between 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. every Tuesday, is parked at different locations in different weeks. On the first Tuesday of every month, it provides services outside Luso International Bank Building and Macau Square, while on the second Tuesday it is parked outside Flower City Garden in Taipa.
On the third Tuesday, the vehicle provides services outside Fai Chi Kei Health Centre, while on the fourth Tuesday it is parked outside the Government Service Centre in Areia Preta, according to the website.
The website points out that the mobile blood donation vehicle does not operate on a Tuesday if it is a public holiday.
The Health Bureau’s Blood Transfusion Centre is located on the second floor of Hotline Centre in Nape. The blood donation centre operates one blood donation vehicle.
