A stall operator at the government’s first Christmas Market said yesterday the event was giving tourists an opportunity to see a different side of Macau.

The Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau (IACM) is holding the Christmas Market in Praça do Tap Seac. It is open daily from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m. until Saturday.

According to an IACM statement, the event features 24 booths run by locals, including 20 booths selling Christmas gifts and four booths selling snacks. There is also a Christmas-themed flower exhibition, displaying nearly 3,000 poinsettias and carnations.
