BEYOND Expo 2024 is on until tomorrow at The Venetian Macao, with the tech event having Sands China as a supporting partner, according to a statement from the integrated resort operator yesterday.
This year’s expo, themed “Embracing the Uncertainties”, started on Wednesday and focuses on “international technology advancements and fostering a culture of tech and innovation in Asia”, the statement noted.
Sands Global Ambassador David Beckham and Sands China CEO and Executive Director Grant Chum Kwan Lock talked about combining personal passion with business acumen during yesterday’s event, “highlighting the importance of authenticity and social impact in today’s entrepreneurial landscape”, the statement said.
The statement added that Beckham also toured the expo before attending a gala dinner at The Venetian Ballroom, where Sands China Executive Vice Chairman Wilfred Wong Ying-wai spoke about the company’s commitment to supporting the development of Macau’s high-tech industry and the government’s “1+4”* appropriate diversification development strategy.
CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology) Chairperson Robin Zeng Yuqun; former Olympic champion and table tennis Grand Slam winner Deng Yaping; and Fosun International Chairman Guo Guangchang are also set to give their insights at the expo, the statement said.
Moreover, a fireside chat with TEAM WANG founder and Hong Kong rapper, singer, and songwriter Jackson Wang Ka-yee will also be held at tomorrow’s closing ceremony.
