The Sports Bureau (ID) said in a statement yesterday that overall inspections and venue facility testing have been conducted for the Women’s Volleyball Nations League 2024 Macao presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group, which will be held from tomorrow to Saturday at Galaxy Arena in Cotai.
Macau is among the six cities hosting the volleyball contest’s preliminary matches, which are continuing until June 16. The finals will be held in Bangkok from June 20 to 23.
According to the statement, seven of the eight teams have already arrived in Macau, namely China, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, Japan, France, Thailand and the Netherlands, with Italy set to arrive today. An autograph signing session was held on Saturday, which was attended by players from the Brazil and Dominican Republic teams.
The five-day volleyball competition is jointly organised by the bureau, integrated resort operator Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG) and the ‘Volleyball Association of Macao, China’, the statement said.
Ticket prices for the competition range from 180 patacas to 1,380 patacas depending on the seat and match sessions. One can buy tickets until 7 p.m. today on MacauTicket.com, by phone, at Kong Seng outlets, or at Galaxy Arena during the event period, the statement said.
