Grand Lapa Macau won the Macau Energy Saving Contest organised by power utility CEM and the Energy Sector Development Office (GDSE), the hotel announced in a statement yesterday.
In the same contest, its sister property – Grand Coloane Resort – was awarded third prize.
According to the statement, both hotels are managed by the Hong Kong-based Artyzen Hospitality Group.
The six-month contest aims to enhance public awareness on energy conservation and to encourage commercial and residential customers to put energy conservation and emission reduction into practice.
