The Cultural Affairs Bureau (IC) said in a statement yesterday that a charity show of “Slava’s Snowshow” has recently been held at the Macau Cultural Centre (CCM) in Nape for spectators from local non-profit associations and charities.
The charity show, among the play’s five shows in Macau, took place in partnership with the Social Welfare Bureau (IAS).
According to the statement, the show was staged for over 700 spectators from over 30 associations and groups representing the “socially disadvantaged”.
The well-received show, created by “the most celebrated living clown in the world”, Slava Polunin, was staged at the Macau Cultural Centre’s (CCM) Grand Auditorium from Friday through Sunday, for which tickets for all shows were sold out, the statement noted.
The immersive show without words incorporated a raft of special effects, including an “intense confetti storm, a gigantic spider web and colourful balls bouncing across the auditorium”, according to the statement. The show unveiled a “visual blend of poetry, tragicomedy and physical theatre”, according to the statement.
